IMSI UK successfully delivered utilities SCADA to one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. The main goal of the system is to collect energy consumption data from various parts of the factory and summarize it in a report for analysis, log the data and do the costing as per company standard. System is designed to collect data from 10 areas on site using over 60 measuring points. Reports are generated to show yearly, monthly, and daily consumption of various energy sources on site along with costing. 3 access levels are provided to control user access based on the role. In future this system will be deployed on a web server to have ability to access the resources utilisation remotely over internet. Data acquisition is achieved using two Siemens S7-1214C PLC and WinCC SCADA. Distributed IO over Modbus TCP is used for data collection.
